Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

The Ram 1500 EcoDiesel’s engine has a compacted graphite iron block with aluminum twin-cam heads. This allows the engine to have an impressive torque output of 420 lb.-ft. at 1,600 RPM. The engine also features B20 biodiesel capability.

GMC Canyon Duramax
GM’s newest midsize pickup, the Canyon, is getting a diesel powertrain. A diesel engine in a midsize truck isn’t a new concept, but it’s still a pretty big deal. This truck’s 2.8L Duramax turbo-diesel engine generates 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This makes it one of the cleanest diesel trucks that GM has ever built.
The 2.8-liter Duramax engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. It produces 181 horsepower at 3,400 rpm and 369 pound-feet at 2,000 rpm. The Canyon diesel is rated at 30 mpg on the highway and 22 mpg in the city. The truck can also tow 7,600 pounds when properly equipped. The diesel is available with both two- and four-wheel drive.
The Canyon also has some new interior features, including a head-up display, an EZ lift and lower tailgate, underbody cameras, and a digital gauge cluster. There are also 13 movable tie-downs in the cargo bed.
Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty
Earlier this year, Ford unveiled a major update to its Super Duty line of heavy-duty pickup trucks. The new models will feature all-new SYNC 4 technology and more engine choices. The updated Super Duty is designed to meet the needs of both commercial buyers and average Joes.
Ford Super Duty trucks have stronger chassis, a larger engine and more towing capacity. Ford also offers new tech like a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot and an industry-first “tailgate down” backup camera.
